Why both, and why the same visit.
The decision about which treatment a problem calls for is made by the person who did the examination, in the room, on the day. That is the whole reason both are offered here. A referral out to a second provider means a second intake, a second history, and two people forming separate opinions about the same body.
Not every visit uses both. The examination decides, and sometimes the answer is one of them. The conditions pages say which treatments tend to apply to each problem, and pricing is published for both.
