Accessibility statement.

A site about pain and mobility ought to work for people with pain and mobility problems.

What this site aims at

The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced for public websites.

It is a target rather than a certification. No independent audit has been carried out, so this page does not claim full conformance. Saying otherwise without testing would be a claim, and this practice does not make those.

What has been done

  • Pages are built as ordinary semantic HTML, with one main heading each and headings in order.
  • Everything interactive is reachable and operable by keyboard.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Images that are decoration are marked so screen readers skip them.
  • Text sizes are set in relative units, so browser zoom and larger default text work.
  • Colours were chosen for contrast against their backgrounds, not only for looks.
  • Animation on the homepage respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.
  • There are no pop-ups, no interstitials, and no automatically playing sound.

Known limits

The booking system is a separate product from a different company. Its accessibility is theirs rather than this practice's. If it presents a barrier, call the office and book by telephone instead. That route always works and is never treated as second best.

Tell us when something does not work

This is the part that matters more than the statement. If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, say so and it gets fixed.

Telephone (910) 389-5355. It helps to know which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what device or assistive technology you were using, but say what you can and the rest can be worked out.

Getting the same information another way

Anything published here can be given to you over the telephone or in the office, including pricing, hours, directions, and what a first visit involves. You are never required to use the website to become a patient.

Questions about anything on this page go to the practice directly. (910) 389-5355 · 2836 Henderson Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546
